We loved the spacious, clean, and quiet room with great amenities. the complimentary bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. the two infinity pools, aromatic garden, vineyards, and wine shop were fabulous. the highlight was the wine tour that took us to the vineyard and the 17th-century theater. the breakfast was perfect, and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. the view from the room and the delicious espresso made our mornings even better.
Felt truly at home, no complaints.

Good room is large, light. comfortable mattress and bed, wooden floor in the bathroom. Wine can be bought at the reception 24 hours a day. Beautiful garden on site
No restaurant on site. They refused to feed us dinner because the hotel was hosting an away event. We were sent to a restaurant down a slope of 500 meters on foot. And the restaurant was closed. The hotel manager's low level of awareness about what's going on around the hotel. They refused to make us even a couple of sandwiches for dinner. The soundproofing of the room leaves a lot to be desired... the whole evening we listened to the dog in the next room whining, which was left by the owners, apparently leaving for an away event.

castello is situated on a mountain and therefore has a very beautiful position in the surrounding vineyards and olive tree plantations. In the evening, well staged with lamps, it exudes a romantic flair. We got a "superior double room" booked by us, which was located directly in the Castello. Since an event was planned in the evening, the hotel guests had to look for something for dinner. We walked downhill to the restaurant belonging to the Castello, about 700m away. The food and the wine were delicious there, it tasted good. There are 2 unheated pools, both of which were filled and clean and allowed to cool down. The wine shop staff for wine testing at the Castello was very friendly and gave us good advice on wine and olive oil.
We are not complainers, we understand and had also adjusted to antique furniture in an antique room. But we didn't expect a shower from the "Middle Ages" .. in which you could almost only turn with the door open, although there was space for a larger one and the hot water boiler in the passage to the bathroom hissed loudly. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed despite the fact that there were fewer guests in the breakfast room, you had to wait a long time for the coffee from the machine or even remind the staff like other guests if it wasn't exactly gone and busy with other things. Events in the Castello clearly seem to have a much higher priority than your own hotel guests. We would compare the stay with a 2 * hotel or a pension in Germany, the room price is not balanced in price / performance and in no case our room corresponded to a "superior double room". You book the good location, historic walls, romance .. but zero service and feel-good atmosphere.

The swimmingpool was beautiful. The lady of the breakfast was fabulous.
Comfort of the room was bad; no airconditioning, shower did not work properly, matras did not fit into the bed, was too small. Never met so uninterested and bored receptionists.

The location of this wine destination in the Tuscan hills of Chianti near Sienna is absolutely stunning. the winery and castle offer above average wines for tasting and purchase, and the staff are multi-lingual, making it easy to communicate. the rooms are comfortable and clean, with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. the breakfast in the old rooms is delicious and the service is friendly. there are facilities such as a pool and an enoteca where you can buy local wines and products.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. Welcomed us with a glass of spumante. The location is wonderfully relaxing. Even though it was winter, we still enjoyed our quiet mini-vacation. Hopefully we'll be able to go back and stay a little longer. Looking for some quiet, relaxing time...this would be the place.

I liked the romantic location, ideal for our honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and gave us a sumptuous room in the tower with amazing views. We felt like royalty and will talk about our honeymoon for many years to come. The place had an informal nature to it as well which made us feel welcomed and relaxed
That I had to leave and go home

Quiet serene peaceful, good breakfast, good scenery.
Hair dryer broken. Sign unclear to indicate location. Too far. Travelled during low season, the castle was under construction. If travelled on high season probably better.
